We use very few of them. Here's what's actually happening.

Local Station does not set tracking cookies, use third-party advertising networks, or fingerprint your browser. We don't run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar.
The site uses a small amount of browser storage for technically necessary things, like remembering whether you've dismissed an in-page notification, holding onto form state if you accidentally navigate away mid-submission, that sort of thing. None of it is shared with anyone.
Cloudflare, our hosting provider, may set cookies for security purposes (rate limiting, bot detection). These cookies are set by Cloudflare, not by us, and they don't track your activity across sites. Cloudflare's policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Some neighborhood episodes are embedded from YouTube. When you watch one, YouTube sets its own cookies as it would on any other site. You can avoid this by not pressing play on the embedded videos, or by using a browser extension that blocks third-party media.
If we ever start using analytics or other cookies, we'll update this page and make the change obvious. Until then, this page describes the actual current state.
